Investigation on the technical performance and workability of hot-melting road marking materials using for the high-altitude area

The special environment conditions in high altitude areas leads to serious cracking and peeling of road hot-melt marking coatings. In order improve the durability paint, a durable paint was designed by modifying with toughening-agent, rheological agent, anti-aging agent. modification mechanism modified coating revealed through TG FTIR analysis. low-temperature anti cracking, adhesion, properties were studied bending test, interlaminar shear test UV aging test. Besides this, workability coatings tested onsite. results showed that mass loss rate agent is 0.15% at 240 °C, had good thermal stability within mixing temperature range coating. There no chemical change between modifier coating, which physical blend. fluidity, softening point drying time, but its compressive strength slightly reduced. With increase content toughener, low crack resistance adhesion gradually increase. When toughener 5%, flexural tensile strain beam increased 79.1%, asphalt concrete 53.4%. can shield most radiation property about 30%. field process validation achieved expected results. has excellent resistance, other properties, application prospects harsh areas.
